Pet Laser Therapy
A non-invasive holistic treatment.
Advantage Veterinary Center is pleased to offer our furry patients the benefits of Class IV (low-level) laser therapy. Commonly used to treat pain associated with arthritis, injury, surgery, and the aches and pains of aging, laser therapy works by administering deep, penetrating light to reduce pain and inflammation by stimulating cell renewal.
The procedure is clinically proven, safe, noninvasive, and completely comfortable for your pet. Laser therapy is also drug-free, has no known side effects, and requires no preparation such as shaving.
Treatments typically take between 3 to 6 minutes, and when appropriate, can be used in conjunction with other treatment options.
Laser therapy can benefit a wide range of both acute (sudden onset) and chronic (ongoing) conditions, including:
- Wounds
- Inflammation
- Otitis
- Tooth extraction pain
- Sprains, strains, and fractures
- Hip dysplasia
- Post-surgical healing/pain relief
- Degenerative joint disease
- Lick granulomas
- Tendonitis
- Arthritis
The number of treatments your pet will need depends upon his or her condition, but many pets start feeling some degree of relief after the very first treatment.
